What is CarbestChannelEditor?

This project aims to provide a channel list editor for Carbest TVs released around 2018.

These TVs allow the user to export the satellite TV channel list to a file on an attached USB thumb drive. They also provide an import function for previously exported files. But there is no channel list editor available, so this project was started to fill this void.

The goal is to provide an editor that is cross-platform, easier to use and faster than the editing capabilities available in the TV’s menu.

Project state

No software is written yet. Reverse engineering and documentation of the underlying file format is ongoing.
